During the 1940s and 1950s, Ocampenses moved to the surrounding cities in order to find employment. These cities included León, San Luis Potosí, Guadalajara, and Aguascalientes. Many also moved to other cities such as Monterrey and Mexico City. Currently, Ocampenses and their descendants can be found throughout the Mexican Republic.
